PHP is a good choice for individuals:
• With a higher chance of relapse.
• Who have had previous severe episodes of addiction and/or overdose.
• Who are unsure about managing their cravings.
• Anyone who is more comfortable with additional support and treatment.
Major Differences between our Residential Treatment and PHP:
• The partial hospitalization program has a structured – but less restricted – rehab experience than residential treatment.
• PHP is designed for those who do not meet the medical necessity for a higher level of care.
Customized treatment plans are developed for each client.
Completion of residential rehab treatment is not required for participation in our Partial Hospitalization Program. However, many individuals find that PHP is an ideal transition from residential rehab treatment to independent living.

• Participants must have completed detox, be sober and be able to fully engage in ongoing therapy.
Since the Partial Hospitalization Program is less structured and more flexible than residential rehab – it is crucial that clients have a strong network of recovery support.
However, the Partial Hospitalization Program PHP is not right for everyone.
• Not recommended for those still actively using drugs and alcohol; or anyone needing supervised medical detox.
• Not recommended for anyone in an environment that encourage substance abuse.
PHP Program Requirements
• During partial hospitalization, patients are tested for drugs and alcohol regularly.
• We set strict parameters for what items patients are able to bring into the treatment environment.
• While in treatment, patients are held to clear boundaries and expectations in terms of relationships and behaviors.
• The treatment team works with patients to identify key areas of strength – as well as those areas which will become the focus of growth and healing.
Our collaborative effort empowers our patients to heal. We help individuals develop the necessary tools to live a healthy, purposeful life without substance misuse.
PHP treatment is an opportunity for SUD disorder patients to experience sobriety in their community – while outside the 24-hour care provided in residential inpatient treatment.
Patients in PHP may use support by their family and outside groups more than those in the residential programs. But participants still have access to the more intense therapies and training.
